Job Summary
The Video Technician/Operator installs, operates, maintains, and repairs video systems for the live Harry Potter: A Hogwarts Express Adventure event, coordinating with the Video Designer and production team during pre-production, load-in, and the run. Responsibilities include installing video systems, ensuring artistic integrity of video designs, operating during performances, assisting with sound as needed, collaborating with Stage Manager and production staff, and helping with load-out. Candidates should have experience with theatrical video systems, disguise/media servers, LED panels, monitors, and be able to work evenings and weekends, stand/walk for extended periods, and lift heavy objects. 18+ and able to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions aboard a moving train.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a theatrical/entertainment video system technician/electrician
- Experience with programming and operating disguise/media servers/led panels/monitors
- Ability to work alongside the production staff as a team member in an ever-changing environment
- Ability to work independently with self-motivation and attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate, recognize and solve practical problems and resolve issues successfully
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form
- Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams
- Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as production schedules may dictate
- Be physically capable of lifting heavy objects
- Must be 18 or over
