Job Summary
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on rental and customer equipment, including diesel engines, frame assemblies, and steering components. Perform welding, brazing, and part fabrication while completing documentation for work orders, parts orders, and warranty support. Determine repair extents, prepare orders for major overhauls, and tune engines using diagnostic tools. Execute all tasks adhering to safety procedures, quality standards, and established timeframes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of complex hydraulics
- Knowledge of electrical systems
- Knowledge of computer systems
- Knowledge of mechanical systems
- Knowledge of arc welding
- Knowledge of oxygen acetylene welding
- Knowledge of test equipment used to diagnose and repair equipment
- Knowledge of electronic components of vehicles
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment safely
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to read and understand operators manuals
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to keep required records
- Ability to read schematics
- Ability to analyze technical information
- Ability to interpret technical manuals
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Ability to interpret technical procedures
- Ability to interpret governmental regulations
- Possession of all necessary licenses and certificates to operate equipment and vehicles
