Job Summary
Diagnose and perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on rental and customer equipment. Inspect diesel engines, repair frame assemblies, suspension systems, and steering components, while determining overhaul needs and preparing service orders. Tune engines, diagnose computer controls, and perform welding and brazing to fabricate parts and modify attachments. Complete all documentation including work orders, parts orders, and time sheets in accordance with safety procedures and quality standards. Participate in the required safety program and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of complex hydraulics
- Knowledge of electrical systems
- Knowledge of computer systems
- Knowledge of mechanical systems
- Knowledge of arc welding
- Knowledge of oxygen acetylene welding
- Knowledge of test equipment used to diagnose and repair equipment
- Knowledge of electronic components of vehicles
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment safely
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to read and understand operators manuals
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to keep required records
- Ability to read schematics
- Ability to analyze technical information
- Ability to interpret technical manuals
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Ability to interpret technical procedures
- Ability to interpret governmental regulations
- Possession of all necessary licenses and certificates to operate equipment and vehicles
