Job Summary
The Rental Technician II (R) performs high-quality repairs on Caterpillar equipment, works safely following WCAT policies, and completes associated paperwork accurately. Candidates should have knowledge of natural gas engines and basic mechanical systems, along with 2-5 years of relevant experience. They must demonstrate proficiency with hand and diagnostic tools and be capable of providing accurate quotes. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, and an Associate's degree in a related field is preferred. This position entails regular travel, working in varying conditions, and requires a clean driving record.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2-5 years of related experience
- Specific CAT product line knowledge of natural gas engines
- Basic knowledge of gas/diesel engines and EPG systems
- Proficient use of basic hand tools, air tools, and diagnostic software
- Clean driving record and ability to obtain CDL within 90 days of hire
- Successfully complete Work Steps assessment
Desired Qualifications
- Associate’s degree/certificate in diesel technology or similar mechanical discipline
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 21 to be assigned and operate field vehicle
