Job Summary
Rental Shop Coordinator leads branch maintenance operations and coordinates equipment availability, supervises mechanics and yard staff, and ensures accurate paperwork (work orders, purchase orders, incident reports, customer invoicing). The role requires strong computer skills, safety/compliance oversight (OSHA, DOT), profitability mindset, and staff training. Responsibilities include processing and closing PO’s, managing reports to boost productivity, reviewing profit/loss statements, maintaining a safe work environment, coordinating urgent rental equipment requests, and communicating with rental and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Requires High School Diploma or GED and several years of mechanical repair lead and supervisory experience, plus customer service and data-entry aptitude.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years in the mechanical repair field with lead person or shop foreman experience
- 3+ years customer service experience
- 3+ years supervisory/management experience
