Job Summary
Manage a 68-unit tax credit property in Newington, CT, by processing annual certifications, interims, and recertifications while ensuring full compliance with program requirements. Supervise two support staff and coordinate with residents, contractors, and on-site personnel. Become Tax Credit Certified within the first year of employment. Prior experience with HUD, RAP, LIHTC programs, and Yardi Classic software is required. This exempt, benefitted position offers 40 hours per week with competitive wages, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher
- One or more years of relevant residential or real estate property management experience
- Experience working with HUD, RAP and LIHTC program
- Prior experience with Yardi Classic software
- Experience in reading and obtaining basic information within leases
- Must be extremely organized
- Attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Strong computer and office technology skills
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to deal professionally, courteously and tactfully with residents, prospects, contractors and on-site staff
- Supervisory experience
- Must be able to become Tax Credit Certified within their first year of employment
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of Tax Credit experience
- Experience in Affordable Housing
- Experience in Section 8 or HUD
- Experience working with HUD, RAP and LIHTC program (preferred)
- Supervisory experience (a plus)
