Job Summary
Rental Technician / Counter Person at Bobcat – Charleston, SC. Responsibilities include providing friendly customer service at the rental counter, assisting customers with rental equipment questions and availability, performing daily equipment inspections and light preventative maintenance, helping prepare equipment for rentals and returns, identifying basic mechanical issues and communicating needs to the service team, and collaborating with Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental departments while supporting administrative tasks. Ideal candidates have 2 years of experience in equipment service or rental, possess light mechanical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Pay is $18.00-$25.00 per hour DOE; full-time schedule 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with no weekends; benefits include health/dental/vision/life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, vacation, and opportunities for training and advancement.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in equipment service, rental, or a related customer-facing role
- Light mechanical knowledge (diesel, hydraulics, or electrical systems preferred)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in office/counter and around equipment
