Job Summary
Complete assigned repair jobs on heavy rental equipment, removing and installing parts, diagnosing problems, and performing critical engine repairs and adjustments. Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision. Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job accurately and timely. Mentor Rental team members. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required, plus certification in air-conditioning. Regular travel up to 20%. This safety-sensitive position involves exposure to extreme weather, fumes, and precarious places.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three to five years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Must be 21 or older
- Certified in air-conditioning
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to provide accurate information to management for quoting
- Obtain or currently possess adequate tooling to perform duties
- Regularly required to stand
