Job Summary
Generate revenue by renting CAT and allied equipment, selling non-hour metered merchandise, and offering service capabilities within a designated territory. Develop weekly sales forecasts, prepare daily progress reports, and conduct face-to-face cold calls to build new accounts while servicing current customers. Research new leads, manage business expenses, and respond to customer inquiries at all hours. Maintain current product knowledge and interface with field personnel to meet monthly budgeted revenue and market share goals. Requires 10+ years in heavy or rental equipment sales and 3+ years in customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 10+ years sales experience in the heavy or rental equipment industry
- 1+ years administrative/clerical experience
- 3+ years customer service experience
- 3+ years sales experience
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, etc.
- Medium work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 32 pounds or more
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel
