Job Summary
Rental Equipment Field Service Technician works on diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing CAT heavy equipment at customer sites under supervision, with emphasis on ensuring first-time repairs, maintaining logs and coordinating with Service, Product Support and Sales teams to meet customer needs. The role requires reading electrical and hydraulic schematics to repair work, safe rigging for lifting, and promoting Wagner Equipment Co. to customers. The position involves teaching and coaching other technicians in the field, maintaining safety and regulatory compliance (MSHA/OSHA), and traveling to customer sites (75%-100% travel). Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Relevant CAT related courses
- 3+ years’ experience servicing heavy equipment
- 1+ years administrative/clerical experience
- 3+ years customer service experience
- 3+ years sales experience
- DOT Health Card
- Class D Driver’s License
- MSHA License
