Job Summary
The Rental Equipment Experienced Technician assists and develops technicians in troubleshooting and repair of equipment in a manner aligned with the company’s vision of teamwork, serves as the main liaison between shop personnel and Technical Services, and leads in ensuring repairs meet manufacturers’ specifications. Responsibilities include diagnosing equipment issues, identifying parts for orders, communicating status with Shop Leads and Managers, adhering to safety standards, maintaining equipment to quality standards, performing preventive maintenance, attending training, and performing yard duties and overtime as needed. Requires strong technical aptitude with diesel‐engine equipment, experience in heavy equipment repair, ability to read operation manuals, and solid collaboration and customer-service skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduation from a technical school with emphasis on diesel engine preferred
- 3 years heavy equipment, engine, or mechanical repair experience
- 3-5 years administrative/clerical experience
- 3-5 years customer service experience
