Rental Equipment Delivery Driver

Job Summary
Deliver and pick up rental equipment using a Class 8 truck with loads up to 70,000 lbs, loading and unloading gear while securing it properly. Organize yard storage to maintain neat conditions and keep the delivery truck mechanically sound and clean. Operate multiple brands of construction equipment including CAT, Genie, and JLG, instructing customers on safe usage and reporting damages to coordinators. Maintain electronic driver logs, adhere to DOT regulations for oversize loads, and document equipment issues via tablet. Communicate delays, accidents, and route hazards promptly while representing Western States professionally. Requires a valid Class A CDL, six months commercial driving experience, and ability to work overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Valid Class A - CDL driver's license with excellent driving record and current DOT physical card
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience with over the road tractor & trailer experience
- Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time along with walking, sitting, repetitively climbing stairs, reaching (including but not limited to above-shoulder reaching), repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting
- Ability to generate 97 ft./lbs. of force, by pushing and pulling
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 60lbs from the ground and place on a shelf/platform set up to 65 inches off the ground
- Ability to carry up to 20 lbs. while repeatedly ascending/descending a minimum of ten, 8" stair steps
- Ability to repeatedly ascend/descend a minimum of 10 rungs on various ladders
- Ability to assemble/disassemble various sizes of nuts and bolts, while repeatedly bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and/or crouching
- Exposure to extreme temperatures and environment
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of six months in usage and operation of light construction equipment
