Job Summary
Coordinate and maintain all activities of the rental department by building customer relationships, answering phone calls for rates and quotes, and checking rentals in and out daily. Manage contract files and reservations while writing contracts on a PC program, and schedule, pick up, deliver, and load/unload rental equipment. Perform light tune-ups, oil changes, and small parts replacement on rental equipment, demonstrating knowledge of routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Engage in discussions with customers regarding proper equipment selection based on their needs. Work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends with a good driving record and strong computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including nights and weekends.
- Superior organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn computer-based concepts quickly.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks at one time.
- Good driving record, some delivery and pick-ups
- Knowledge of, or be able to learn about all rental equipment, including operation, application, capabilities, and limitations.
- Knowledge of routine maintenance and troubleshooting requirements of all rental equipment.
- Aptitude/general knowledge of small engines.
- Ability to perform light tune-ups, oil changes, and small parts replacement on rental equipment.
