Job Summary
Rental Account Manager leads rental sales/marketing at the BU level, supports the commercial rental and trailer services product lines, and works to increase Ryder's rental sales presence by generating profitable new accounts and retaining existing ones. Responsibilities include developing leads through cold calls and customer visits, assessing customer needs, proposing solutions, coordinating with rental operations to ensure equipment availability, marketing at the branch level, and training rental sales representatives in telemarketing. The role emphasizes driving rental revenue growth, improving profitability and Return on Assets, and meeting lease sales quotas. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or 5 years of equivalent experience, with 1+ year of sales experience (3+ years preferred). Skills emphasized include strong verbal and written communication, relationship-building, independent work, high energy and self-motivation, multi-tasking, organization, and professionalism. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in Marketing or 5 years equivalent job related experience
- One (1) year or more sales experience or equivalent sales training required
- Three (3) years or more sales experience preferred
