Job Summary
Part-time hybrid Rent Service Team Manager role in Birmingham City Council, based at the Council House. Manages service teams to ensure staff work efficiently within the 21.9 hours per week schedule, develops and monitors work plans for areas of responsibility, provides training and measures its effectiveness, and handles employee relations matters including recruitment, attendance, development, investigations, disciplinary actions and welfare counselling in collaboration with trade unions. Requires management and supervision experience, plus extensive knowledge of Housing Legislation in income recovery, and strong verbal/written communication. Ideal candidate can prioritise work, plan resources to meet service demand within quality and performance frameworks, and demonstrate staff development. The role is hybrid (on-site as needed). Required Qualifications
- Experience of management and supervision of staff at appropriate level
- Extensive knowledge of Housing Legislation in the context of income recovery
- Experience dealing with internal and external customers
- Verbal and written communication skills of a high level
