Job Summary
Proactively contact tenants regarding missed payments or debt risk, then support customers to complete income and expenditure assessments. Create realistic, tailored action plans to help tenants get back on track and manage cases through to resolution while maintaining ongoing dialogue. Provide guidance on welfare benefits, assist with applications, and signpost customers to external support agencies where appropriate. Keep accurate records of all interactions and collaborate with colleagues to resolve wider issues such as repairs and anti-social behaviour. Full-time permanent role based at Coppice House with travel to other Flagship offices required.
Required Qualifications
- experience in a customer-focused role (telephone or face-to-face)
- strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive or challenging conversations
- good numeracy and literacy skills
- ability to stay calm and de-escalate difficult situations
- strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload using data and insight
- proactive and solution-focused approach
- Location: Coppice House (Bury St Edmunds base) - travel to other Flagship offices including Dereham will be required
- Hours: Full Time - 37 hpw
- Contract: Permanent
