Job Summary
Lead and manage Property Improvement Plan (PIP) renovations and hotel conversions to IHG standards, guiding on-site design and construction activities, coordinating with ownership and franchise teams, producing detailed PIP narratives, and ensuring conformance to brand standards, life safety, and building codes across 12–24 month timelines. Responsibilities include mentoring staff, conducting site visits and inspections, coordinating with Plan Review and NHOP, managing budgets and resources, negotiating scope and timelines, and interfacing with franchisees and design professionals to drive timely completions and FAC approvals. Requires strong project management, communication, and technical skills in architecture, ADA and life-safety compliance, plus travel across a multi-state remote-enabled region.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrate project management experience in organizing, planning and executing complex, large-scale projects from conception through implementation
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills for communicating with clients, vendors, senior management and staff
- Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive, detailed plan reviews explaining Brand standards and Life Safety Requirements
- Demonstrate knowledge of brand standards and full understanding of ADA requirements and Life Safety codes
- Demonstrate ability to read blueprints including architectural, mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler systems and electrical drawings
- Demonstrate ability to remain current with construction trends and code requirements
- Travel - 75% required
