Job Summary
Evaluate lift trucks for safety compliance per OSHA standards, then load, pick, and unload inventory onto racks, pallets, and conveyers. Use the warehouse management system to locate, scan, and pull items while documenting put-away and task information for accurate tracking. Read production schedules, customer orders, and work orders to determine movement requirements, then sort materials by size, type, or product code before moving them to shipping or storage areas. Assist with truck loading and unloading, perform routine equipment inspections, and refer repairs to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- three (3) months or more related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Beginner level of experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance, instructions; and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, feel; reach with both hands and arms; talk and hear
- Ability for prolonged standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and balancing
- Lifting to a maximum of seventy-five pounds (75 lbs.), with frequent lifting and carrying of up to fifty pounds (50 lbs.)
- Good eye/hand coordination
- Monday - Friday 6:30am- 3:00pm
