Renewals Engineer

Job Summary
Prepare and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Renewal Quality Plans (RQPs) for all renewal activities. Coordinate and maintain project quality records and documentation, compiling quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle. Attend and witness hold points as required, monitor compliance with contract specifications, and prepare Post Construction Reports (PCRs) for completed projects. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality systems and project delivery. This role reports to the Quality & Renewals Manager at Wairau Gateway, a joint venture managing the Integrated Delivery Contract for NZ Transport Agency state highways.
Required Qualifications
- Civil Engineering Diploma, Civil Engineering Degree, or equivalent recognised qualification
- Full New Zealand Driver Licence
- Graduate civil engineer or up to 5 years relevant civil engineering experience
- Understanding of civil construction and infrastructure delivery principles
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and contract documents
- Strong written communication and report-writing skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- All successful candidates must undergo and pass a pre‐employment medical and drug screen prior to employment
