Job Summary
Communicate with existing clients via telephone, email, and video calls to sell and retain patent and trademark products while identifying and pursuing uplift opportunities. Manage all renewal orders through Salesforce.com and customer portals, resolving issues through collaboration with internal teams. Execute regular account reviews covering contract status, product migration, cross-sell/upsell opportunities, and issue resolution to provide updated status reports to key stakeholders. Act as an advocate for both the client and Clarivate to ensure positive outcomes. This role reports to the Manager of Renewals Sales within a five-person team across the Americas, focusing on driving incremental revenue and providing cross-functional perspective on product improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience
- 3+ years of experience in B2B sales
- 3+ years in an account management, business development, or renewals specialist role
- At least 1 year of experience in Salesforce.com or a similar tech-based platform/CRM
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Intellectual Property sales or similar industry
- Understanding of consultative selling and strategic account management
- Experience in subscription selling, Intellectual Property, or information services
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, making decisions based on data and good judgment and drawing on resources to support decision making when appropriate
- Capacity to learn and effectively utilize Salesforce.com and other programs relevant to the role
- Ability to analyze, compare, evaluate, reconcile, and draw meaningful conclusions and action plans from data
