Job Summary

Renewals Manager responsible for contract renewals and opportunities for account expansion within existing customers. Develop and implement renewal strategies to maximize retention, work with Account Executives to ensure a seamless renewal process, identify renewal risk ahead of dates, and pursue upsell/cross-sell opportunities. Serve as primary contact for renewal inquiries, conduct account reviews and forecasting, leverage customer feedback for product improvements, and represent Kong professionally throughout the renewal lifecycle. Strong emphasis on relationship management, renewal metrics, and cross-functional collaboration to drive recurring revenue.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Sales, Sales Development, or Account Management
  • Preference for candidates with enterprise software background; knowledge of open source, APIs, and/or infrastructure software
  • Proven ability to maintain and grow customer relationships with focus on retention and renewals
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Results-driven with ability to forecast renewals and identify growth opportunities within existing customer base
