Job Summary
Lead UK renewable installation operations and head the domestic installation engineering team across Solar PV, EV chargers, heat pumps, and plug-in battery systems. Serve as the primary technical authority for the domestic fleet, manage complex escalations, and ensure compliant field engineering decisions. Establish and refine quality assurance frameworks, review processes, and field audits to sustain elite installation quality. Oversee onboarding, training, and monitoring programs to keep the installer fleet highly qualified and compliant. Manage domestic installations and commissioning across multiple technologies in line with UK regulations and MCS standards, counsels cross-functionally on hardware/product specs, and develop the accreditation strategy to expand the approved installer network. Foster a culture of technical excellence and safety across the engineering division; mentor engineers and uphold high performance under tight timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Fully qualified electrician with NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent
- UK electrical regulations knowledge
- Proven experience with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of domestic Solar PV, EV charge points, and Heat Pump systems
- Full UK driving license
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience leading and managing distributed electrical or renewable installation teams
- Ability to mentor engineers and maintain high performance under tight timelines
