Job Summary
Maintain accurate accounting records for RNG trading and marketing activities, including revenue recognition, cost of sales, and intercompany transactions. Reconcile daily and monthly positions, invoices, and settlements from counterparties, pipelines, and environmental registries. Prepare monthly close, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations specific to RNG accounting while producing accurate and timely monthly financial statements. Partner with traders and schedulers to ensure accurate trade capture, valuation, and mark-to-market reporting, and validate P&L attribution. Collaborate with risk management to track credit exposure and support audit and compliance reviews related to environmental credits. Contribute to the design and implementation of financial processes that bridge project finance, trading operations, and corporate reporting, including ERP and ETRM system integration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CMA
- 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
- experience or familiarity with commodity or environmental markets
- Strong familiarity with financial reporting for commodity transactions and project
- Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting
- Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and
- Excellent organization and planning
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment balancing corporate, project, and trading

Desired Qualifications
- ideally within energy trading, project development, or environmental commodities
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
- ETRM platforms (e.g., Endur, Allegro, Molecule, Enverus)
- Advanced Excel modeling and data analysis skills
- Power BI or Tableau proficiency
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and communication
- Interest in renewable energy markets, environmental credit systems, and sustainability
