Renewable Land Agent / Landman - Wind & BESS – (Field-Based)

Job Summary
Conduct landowner outreach to negotiate lease options, long-term agreements, and easements for utility-scale wind and BESS assets. Execute site control strategies to assemble contiguous acreage footprints while performing surface title reviews, analyzing tract maps, and securing mineral non-development waivers. Act as the primary field representative to navigate community dynamics, agricultural concerns, and public permitting requirements. This role requires daily regional travel across Northwest Minnesota and the Eastern Dakotas from a Fargo, ND base, with a focus on assembling project areas for upcoming development phases.
Required Qualifications
- Field landman experience with a documented track record in utility-scale wind or solar land acquisition
- Strong working knowledge of real estate, agricultural land dynamics, and tract mapping in Minnesota and/or the Dakotas
- Proficiency in option and lease negotiation
- Proficiency in contract structuring
- Proficiency in title curative work
- Proficiency in reviewing GIS/mapping data
- Field-based, on-site position based out of Fargo, ND and the surrounding areas
- Daily regional travel to target project locations
- Reliable transportation suitable for field travel
