Job Summary
Conduct construction and maintenance on substations, transmission systems, and battery storage assets while troubleshooting protections, control equipment, and relay schemes. Coordinate emergency responses for high-voltage equipment and BESS systems, manage inventory and tooling, and operate facilities safely using diagnostic tools and electrical schematics. Perform after-hour call-outs and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Read and interpret drawings with attention to detail, communicate effectively with contractors and vendors, and maintain proficiency in LOTO training. Based in Fort Stockton, Texas, this role supports Jupiter Power's utility-scale energy storage projects.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Experience using and understanding diagnostic tools
- Computer operation skills, familiar with internet-based program navigation and have the ability to generate and interpret computer data
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics with attention to detail
- Ability to follow safety protocols on site
- Effectively communicate with third parties, vendors, and co-workers
- Good written communication skills
- LOTO training and proficiency
- Must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance
