Job Summary

Assist experienced technicians with maintaining, repairing, and installing wind turbines, photovoltaic systems, and energy storage equipment in the field. Perform routine maintenance, inspect and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components, and collect equipment data for analysis. Document completed jobs, track time, and manage supply orders while adhering to all safety protocols and core values. Complete mandatory four-week training in Albert Lea, MN, before starting work on-site in Adrian, TX. Work eight-hour days, forty hours per week, with overtime and night shifts as required, including climbing heights and working in extreme weather.

Required Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid current driver's license
  • Must successfully meet organizational requirements to operate motor vehicles
  • Ability to successfully complete applicable safety and technical training program for the entry level technician
  • Ability to demonstrate basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand, read, write, and speak clearly in English
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms
  • Must possess good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for working with small parts and tools
  • Must possess good vision and hearing to frequently detect potential hazards and communicate effectively with team members
  • Must be able to stand, crouch, walk, and work for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to operate company vehicles (field trucks) on site and on public roads and highways
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in an electrical-mechanical environment
  • Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, and structures to heights more than 91 meters (300 feet)
  • Must be able to work at heights, including climbing up and descending towers, entering nacelles and hubs at extreme heights
  • Must be comfortable with working in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, and rain
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Must be available for overtime and night shifts
  • Must be able to work on platforms or skids
  • Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Must be able to work eight (8) hours a day, forty (40) hours a week

Desired Qualifications

  • 0 to 1 year related experience or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of electronics and mechanical components and measurement devices
