Job Summary
Perform operation and maintenance of solar and battery energy systems to maximize system performance. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair renewable energy equipment and electrical systems. Execute preventative maintenance strategies aligned with long-term asset management plans. Coordinate with contractors and ensure safe, secure site access as needed. Maintain site infrastructure including balance of plant equipment, access roads and buildings, and vegetation management. Support outage response and after-hours coverage; assist with environmental inspections and compliance activities. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, with opportunities to lead projects and mentor junior team members (Level III). Collaborate with internal teams and field operations, including line crews when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience for Level III
- Level II requires two-year degree in renewable energy or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card
- Strong safety and risk-awareness
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Technical skills progression by level (Level I basics, Level II maintenance/diagnostics, Level III leadership)
