Job Summary
Track and summarize state renewable energy policy developments, including legislation, public utility commission proceedings, incentive programs, and permitting rules. Create briefings on individual markets covering utility planning materials, load growth, and local policy. Conduct deep dives on RTO and ISO regulatory issues, such as interconnection reform, capacity and energy market design, and resource adequacy. Participate in industry group, trade association, and stakeholder calls to synthesize key insights for commercial and development teams. Support quantitative analysis of market and policy data, including interconnection queue analysis and pricing trends. This role supports Linea Energy's mission to drive the transition to a clean energy future through sustainable solutions across the Americas.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in public policy, economics, environmental science, or a related field
- Demonstrated interest in energy policy, electricity regulation, or clean energy markets through coursework, prior internships, research, or independent work
- Strong writing and synthesis skills, with the ability to distill dense regulatory material into clear, concise summaries
- Ability to work in-person in our San Francisco office approximately one day per week
