Renal Transplant Nurse Educator

Job Summary
Develop and implement educational modules and continuing education programs for outpatient, transplant ICU, and acute care settings. Support clinical staff and transplant coordinators with advanced training, orientation programs, and ongoing education. Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with OPTN and CSM guidelines, integrating best practices into educational materials. Provide cross-support for the SICU and outpatient transplant unit, including Aurora. Participate in a comprehensive 3-day classroom training program. Master's Degree in Nursing with at least 5 years of acute care nursing experience and 3 years as a Kidney Transplant Coordinator required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field (education focus preferred)
- Active Texas RN License or multi-state compact RN license, free of stipulations or disciplinary actions
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 5 years of acute care nursing experience
- At least 3 years of experience as a Kidney Transplant Coordinator (non-negotiable)
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
- Proven track record of consistent work history
Desired Qualifications
- Certification as a Transplant Coordinator is a plus
- Familiarity with Epic, OPTN, and CSM guidelines
- Strong communication skills
- Honest and clear preferences regarding unit, shift, and location
