Job Summary
Removal Technician responsible for the care, removal, and transport of deceased. Safely drives company-owned vehicles for first-call removals in accordance with local/state laws and company policies; maintains chain-of-custody and accurate paperwork; cooperates with first responders, coroners, hospital staff, and care facilities; provides compassionate, professional interaction with bereaved families during home removals; performs vehicle maintenance and cleaning; enters event information into proprietary software; transports caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes; observes safety guidelines and uses PPE; must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and push/pull up to 200 lbs; flexible scheduling including weekends and nights.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current state/province issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- At least one (1) year work experience as a courier or driver; direct customer interaction strongly preferred
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; push/pull up to 200 pounds
- Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays; on-call rotation
