(Remote) Vice President of Research & Development

Job Summary
Senior, enterprise-scale R&D leadership role overseeing a multidisciplinary team of product managers, engineers, and architects across the US and Canada. Responsible for translating business goals into actionable development plans, delivering projects on time and within budget, and driving innovation through AI and cloud initiatives. Leads strategic planning, manages onsite and offshore development, and collaborates across business units to ensure cross-functional alignment. Requires P&L responsibility, travel (25-50%), and strong communication with senior executives and technical experts. Remote-ready with eligibility to travel internationally; passport and visas as needed. Oversees partnerships with vendors and suppliers, and steers the roadmap to minimize attrition by staying ahead of competitors. Aims to balance progress over perfection while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within Cayenta/Harris.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or relevant experience
- 10+ years of product and/or people management experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; communicating clearly and comprehensively to senior executives and technical experts
- Organization and time-management skills, with a can-do attitude
- Excellent team player able to manage and prioritize work for self and staff
- Advanced analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
