Job Summary
Provide expert toxicology consultations via phone, email, and chat to veterinarians and clinic professionals. Document cases in the electronic medical records system, support and guide veterinary support and technician staff in the contact center, and collaborate with veterinarian coworkers on case management. Participate in a five-week paid, full-time training program before beginning full-time evening shifts. Full-time evening shift schedule includes four 10.5-hour shifts per week with an every-other-week rotation between 2:30pm and 4am CST. Base pay ranges from $48 to $50 per hour, with additional differentials for evening and weekend hours. Requires an active Minnesota veterinary license, three years of clinical experience, and advanced proficiency with computer software.
Required Qualifications
- Active Minnesota veterinary license or ability to obtain one upon hire
- 3+ years of clinical experience
- Clear, compassionate communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong critical thinker who can juggle complex, fast-moving cases
- Ability to gather and analyze complex information and have sound and accurate judgement
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking and accuracy
- Advanced proficiency with keyboarding, PCs, Microsoft Office and common computer software and hardware
- Ability to work varying shifts as assigned including days, evenings and holidays
