Job Summary
Design visually appealing website wireframes, mockups, and sitemaps while planning user interactions, animations, and site navigation for client projects. Create and modify graphics using photo editing applications, style content in CMS platforms like WordPress, and package optimized image assets for developers. Provide detailed documentation for web animations and audit existing designs to improve user experience and conversion points. This role requires 4+ years of web design experience with a strong portfolio and proficiency in tools such as Sketch, InDesign, and Illustrator. Candidates must possess creative flair, excellent communication skills, and the ability to present ideas and take direction. Previous agency experience and familiarity with front-end languages are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of web design experience
- Demonstrable web design skills with a strong portfolio
- Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas, as well as ability to take creative direction and critique
- Knowledgeable of current industry-leading software and technologies (Sketch, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
- Understanding of website user experience principles
- Familiarity with content management systems (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, etc.)
- Ability to identify website conversion points and lead users to conversion with design
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of front-end development languages (HTML5, CSS (SASS))
- Previous experience working remotely
