Job Summary
Experienced infrared thermographer needed to perform thermographic inspections of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and roofing at commercial/industrial sites (e.g., manufacturing plants, hospitals, data centers). Analyze thermal images to identify anomalies, prepare detailed inspection reports, and act as the on-site customer interface. Role includes travel (80–100%), remote work from home, time tracking and expense reporting, and potential support for building energy audits. Requires thermography certification, electrical knowledge, strong communication, proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook, and a valid driver’s license; must reside within an hour of a major airport and be able to travel regularly. Compensation $50,000–$70,000 per year plus benefits (health, 401(k)); no visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Thermography certification
- Experience as an infrared thermographer
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Strong communication skills with various roles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel regularly (including air travel)
- Residence within one hour of a major airport
