Job Summary
Technical Product Manager PM/EMR for CareTracker (Harris) acts as the connective tissue between business stakeholders and the development team. This hands-on Product Owner role leads backlog, owns epics/stories/acceptance criteria, and manages a team of Business Analysts to drive revenue-cycle outcomes (eligibility, claims, remits, denials, resubmissions, patient billing). You will translate customer problems and regulatory drivers into a prioritized roadmap, conduct cross-functional alignment, ensure release readiness with the Scrum Master and tech leads, and leverage AI-assisted workflows for documentation and artifacts. Requires 5+ years in healthcare PM/PO, deep ambulatory RCM/EMR knowledge, Jira product ownership, Scrum discipline, people management, strong communication, and experience with HL7/FHIR/X12. Remote US role (EST preferred); travel ~1x/year. Offer includes remote work, 3 weeks vacation plus 5 personal days, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in product management or product ownership for a healthcare PM, RCM, or EMR product
- Deep working knowledge of ambulatory revenue cycle: eligibility (270/271), claims (837P/I), remits (835), denials and appeals, payer rules, clearinghouse workflows, and patient statements
- Hands-on, daily use of Jira as a Product Owner: backlog management, epic and story authoring, sprint planning, velocity tracking
- Solid command of Scrum: sprint ceremonies, Definition of Ready, Definition of Done
- Experience working in or maturing an agile team
- Hands-on experience writing PRDs, epics, and stories with strong acceptance criteria
- Direct people management experience: coaching, performance feedback, developing analysts or product team members
- Strong written and verbal communication: able to brief executives and talk shop with engineers
- Experience with HL7, FHIR, or X12 standards in a product context
- Active, practical use of AI tools in day-to-day work
- Ability to translate customer problems and business goals into a prioritized roadmap
- Remote work capability in US
- Willingness to travel approximately once a year
