Job Summary
Tax Director leads the firm’s tax department as the senior technical authority and primary driver of Tax Advisory Services growth, owning the tax unit and sitting on the leadership team to deliver exceptional client experiences. The role combines tax compliance and advisory responsibilities, develops people and systems, and focuses on proactive, high-value guidance for high-net-worth individuals and multi-entity clients. The successful candidate will lead, mentor, and grow the TAS practice, manage client relationships at the advisory level, and contribute to firm strategy and growth.
Required Qualifications
- CPA required
- MS in Taxation strongly preferred
- 10+ years of public accounting experience with meaningful time in a leadership or review capacity
- Mastery of tax strategy development
- Deep fluency in individual and business taxation—1040s, 1120-S, 1065, multi-state, multi-entity structures
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships at the advisory level
- Experience managing or developing tax staff
- Comfortable in a growing firm—you bring structure, not just headcount
