Job Summary
Remote Systems Architect on a contract-to-hire basis. Responsible for evaluating new solutions to ensure compatibility with the current technical architecture, providing resourcing estimates for projects, and serving as an escalation point for troubleshooting and training of engineers. Direct collaboration with the CTO, establishment of architectural standards focused on efficiency, security, and risk management, lifecycle management of systems and infrastructure, and guidance/training to the Infrastructure Department. Includes assisting with system configuration and testing, and coordinating across departments. Key skills include TOGAF/Open Group Architecture Framework, Linux/Windows/Citrix/VMware administration, virtualization, cloud technologies, data center services, and strong documentation capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a systems architect in enterprise environments
- TOGAF certification (or similar)
- Certification in Systems Administration (Linux, Windows, Citrix, VMware, etc.)
- Working knowledge of systems administration, Windows OS, AIX, Cache, SQL, VMware, Citrix
- Strong technical skills in systems design, implementation, and maintenance (Windows OS, Nutanix hardware, networking)
- Experience with virtualization, networking, and storage technologies, as well as cloud-based solutions
- Working knowledge of MS Project or similar project management tools
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience
