Develop connection details for welded, bolted, and anchored systems while preparing calculations for licensed review. Interpret architectural drawings and partner with drafting teams to develop fabrication shop drawings. Coordinate engineering schedules and support product design improvements through prototype development and testing. This role is for the first internal Staff Structural Engineer at a manufacturer of custom structural building systems, helping to shape engineering processes and become a trusted technical resource. The position offers a work/life balance with 100-150 projects annually, requiring candidates to reside within a two-hour drive of Pottsville, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5 years of structural engineering and design experience
- Experience with ASCE 7 load calculations and structural connection design
- Strong background with 3D CAD software
- Must reside within a two-hour drive of Pottsville, PA area
