Job Summary
Design and build secure, scalable backend services for an enterprise identity platform from the ground up, owning API design across web and service-to-service boundaries, modeling database schemas, and architecting distributed systems with enterprise-scale reliability. Collaborate with product and design teams from early stages to shape features rather than implement predefined requirements, while contributing to engineering practices, technical culture, and hiring as an early team member. Requires 4+ years of production Go experience, distributed systems expertise, and strong SQL skills in a fully remote role within the Americas.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years writing production Go in backend systems
- Experience building and operating distributed backend systems in production
- Strong API design and SQL/database schema design experience, ideally Postgres
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability tooling such as metrics, alerting, and tracing
- Ability to work independently in an early-stage startup environment
- High bar for security, reliability, code quality, and clear technical design
- Strong communication skills
