Job Summary
Respond to client enquiries and scope project requirements by advising on optimal data sources, including DEMs, optical, SAR, and hyperspectral imagery. Produce high-quality, fit-for-purpose outputs while ensuring compliance with licensing and commercial constraints. Stay current with the Earth observation market by onboarding new imagery providers, tracking data releases, and translating processing trends into improved service offerings. Support business development through client engagement and presentations to convert opportunities into scalable projects aligned with strategy. Collaborate cross-functionally within the Satellite Mapping group to deliver bespoke remote sensing data processing support.
Required Qualifications
- BSc in remote sensing, GIS or other related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- At least 2 years professional experience in relevant client-focused role
- Robust understanding of remote sensing fundamentals and practical constraints
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into commercial solutions for client needs
- Experience identifying new business opportunities and qualifying leads
- Prior involvement in proposals, solution scoping, pricing inputs, client presentations
- Experience in processing imagery/outputs and common analysis approaches
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in industry standard satellite image processing packages (Envi, Datum, ESRI, etc.)
- Commercial imagery procurement
- Experience in complex imagery processing (hyperspectral, SAR, DEM, programming)
