Job Summary
Senior/Principal Satellite Systems I&T Engineer to support U.S. satellite functional verification and validation activities. Responsibilities include mapping requirements to verification/validation strategies, developing test plans and procedures, building automated testing systems and ground support equipment, executing and validating tests, training others, and generating/test reports including non-conformances. Also contribute to satellite system architecture studies, requirements development, and creation of system architecture data products (CONOPS, algorithm descriptions, interface documents). Requires experience with DOORS/CCS5/JIRA, C/C++ and Python/TCL, and familiarity with Space mission lifecycle; travel (<10%), US citizenship, and ability to obtain security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or related scientific areas
- 9 years of aerospace experience, including 5+ years' experience in satellite operation and SEIT on spacecraft
- Experience with DOORS, CCS5, JIRA
- Familiar with satellite operation, subsystem engineering (Guidance, Navigation, Control, Power, Data Handling, Software)
- Experience with object-oriented programming (C, C++) and scripting languages (TCL, Python)
- Ability to read engineering documentation (schematics, drawings, CAD)
- Experience with full Space mission lifecycle (requirements, design, manufacturing, test, operations)
- US Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain government security clearance
