Job Summary
Conduct virtual patient assessments, review medical histories, and provide appropriate treatment for addiction, weight management, and general telehealth needs. Order and interpret lab tests, prescribe medications (excluding controlled substances except buprenorphine), and maintain detailed medical documentation. Collaborate with nurse practitioners and support staff to ensure comprehensive care while staying current on telehealth innovations. Work 15-20 hours weekly, primarily 8AM-6PM locally, with a commitment to at least five state licenses and DEA certification. This role offers full schedule flexibility and industry-leading compensation for physicians expanding access to care in underserved communities.
Required Qualifications
- Active medical license in at least three U.S. states
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses
- Critical to be licensed in at least five states
- Licensed in at least one of the following states: CA, FL, NC, PA, TX
- Experience treating patients in telehealth or high-volume in-person settings
- Ability to schedule and work at least 15 core hours weekly
- Work 8AM-6PM locally
- Work over four days each week
- Schedule at least one week in advance
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to medical excellence
- Ability to use telemedicine platforms
- Ability to use EMRs
- At least one DEA certification
- Applicable CSL (if required)
