Remote Pharmacist (Ohio)

Job Summary
Review, verify, and approve high-volume medication orders for long-term care residents while evaluating drug appropriateness, interactions, and regulatory compliance. Perform outbound and inbound clarification calls to nursing staff and physicians, triage STAT orders, and document all interventions within the pharmacy system. Apply state and federal regulations, collaborate with on-site teams to resolve discrepancies, and maintain strict HIPAA compliance. Requires active Ohio and Kentucky licenses, high-speed internet, and dual monitors. Schedule runs 2pm to 12:30am with every-other-weekend rotation, holiday coverage, and competitive pay.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist License in the State of Ohio & Kentucky
- Located within Region; OH
- Ability to work independently in a structured, production-driven environment
- Comfort using ECM, Framework, and VOIP/multi-line phone systems
- Strong analytical, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with pharmacy systems and computer-based workflows
- Secure, HIPAA-compliant home workspace
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Every other weekend rotation
- Holiday coverage
Desired Qualifications
- Licenses in OH and KY preferred
- Previous long-term care pharmacy experience
- Experience in high-volume order verification environments
