Job Summary
Conduct daily meal assistance by selecting, serving, and retrieving food for patients according to specific diet prescriptions such as renal, cardiac, or diabetic restrictions. Communicate patient concerns regarding education needs or consumption levels to the clinical dietitian while assisting with menu selections. Prepare, assemble, and deliver trays and snacks, maintaining stock levels in cafeteria and nursing unit areas. Perform kitchen duties including sanitation, setup, and temperature logging, utilizing an automated tablet to record meal selections. Work a rotational schedule of three weeks on and three weeks off in Kotzebue, Alaska, with housing and meals provided.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Alaska Food Workers Card or ServSafe Certification contingent upon 90 days of hire
- Must pass a fingerprinting background investigation that complies with The Crime Control Act, Child Care Worker Act and the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act
- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English
