Job Summary
Remote Online Reading Tutor position with BookNook for K-8 students. Must be based in the US excluding certain states and able to commit to tutoring sessions. Ideal for educators without lesson planning duties.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must reside in and work from the United States with a US mailing address
- Access to a computer (laptop or desktop), webcam, and reliable high-speed internet connection
- Experience can include having a current/previous teaching license, serving as a substitute teacher, or tutoring for another company.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience with reading instruction based in the science of reading
- Ability to build meaningful connections with students
- Creativity and flexibility to meet students where they are
- Classroom experience and/or online teaching/tutoring experience in Reading/ELA is preferred
Additional Requirements
- Unable to engage with tutors who reside in California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Vermont, as well as US territories
