Job Summary
Teach online English Language Arts classes focusing on Reading & Speaking and Reading & Writing skills for elementary students. Prepare and deliver well-structured lessons using Think Academy's curriculum resources while actively engaging and managing a virtual classroom of up to ~10 students. Grade student work, provide timely feedback, and track progress by communicating professionally with students and parents regarding learning goals. Participate in regular teacher training, curriculum discussions, and professional development. Work 40 hours per week, often scheduled in afternoon/evening hours and weekends, with a commitment to at least one full semester.
Required Qualifications
- Native-level English speaker with excellent command of American English
- Bachelor's degree
- U.S. public/private/charter school ELA teaching experience
- Strong understanding of elementary reading instruction, literacy development, and writing support
- Comfortable with online teaching technology and virtual classroom management
- Enthusiastic, student-centered, and able to inspire young learners
- Commitment to at least one full semester (Spring/Summer/Fall)

- 1st–4th grade focus ideal
- Education/ELA/English majors preferred
