Job Summary
Supervise café operations by overseeing meal preparation, inspecting dining areas for cleanliness, and training assigned workers under the Restaurant Manager. Handle guest problems and complaints while maintaining HAACP records and ensuring accurate POS pricing and menu boards. Manage stock levels, monitor uniform standards, and perform varied duties including serving, cashiering, dishwashing, and food prep during high-traffic periods. Complete inspection checklists, run reports, and ensure all responsibilities comply with applicable regulations and safety programs. This rotational position in Bethel, AK offers a 4 weeks on/4 weeks off schedule with lodging and three meals provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduation or GED equivalent
- At least two (2) years of demonstrated supervisory skills supervising at least five (5) or more people
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- ServSafe certification within 60 days of employment
- This contract requires a flu shot be administered pre-hire and annually thereafter
- Must have a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- appropriate national culinary certification(s)
- familiar with all food safety policies and procedures including all HACCP forms
- Experience of varied and responsible cafe/restaurant supervisor experience
