Job Summary
Provide high availability, highly resilient, and disaster recovery solutions for mainframe clients. Collaborate with customers to tailor environments, establish test plans, and assist with failover testing, plus long-term support for BCP/DR events. Requires deep GDPS expertise (Geographically Dispersed Parallel Sysplex) with NetView/SA and BCP/DR practices; bonus experience in Pervasive Encryption, DS8K/DSCLI, CSM, LCP/Safeguarded Copy, RESTful API integration, and scripting (REXX/Python). Ideal background includes a mainframe storage engineering track and experience as a consultant in financial services/government/large-scale enterprise settings; open to retirees returning to work. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years dedicated GDPS experience (not just storage)
- Ideally closer to 10 years
- Experience working as a consultant is a strong plus
