Job Summary
Deliver structured, engaging small-group reading lessons via Zoom for up to four elementary students, following provided step-by-step curriculum and lesson plans. Maintain instructional fidelity to structured literacy and Science of Reading approaches while monitoring, documenting, and reporting student progress using established assessment tools. Create and sustain a positive, orderly virtual learning environment that supports student engagement and growth. This role supports a nationally recognized, research-backed effort to improve elementary literacy outcomes, offering flexible teaching opportunities Monday–Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time with compensation up to $24/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Proficiency with Zoom and common digital teaching tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to connect effectively with elementary-aged students
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Degree or coursework in education, literacy, English, or a related field
- Experience teaching early reading, phonics, or K–3 instruction and familiarity with structured literacy methods
