Job Summary
Lead daily operations across Customer Support, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Product by anticipating and resolving complex operational blocks, settling supplier disputes, and integrating AI into workflows for drafting SOPs and building automated dashboards. Audit outdated processes, enforce strict deadlines across all departments, and coach team leads while owning the company-wide KPI sheet to monitor metrics like median response times and execute immediate corrective actions. Negotiate supplier quotations, manage hiring and offboarding, and conduct weekly 1:1s to remove blockers. This role requires 5+ years in operations with 3+ in E-commerce, heavy AI proficiency, and direct English communication, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM Cairo Time including mandatory weekend coverage during peak periods.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in operations
- at least 3 years specifically in E-commerce
- Heavy, hands-on experience using AI tools in daily operations
- Direct experience managing a Customer Support team
- Direct experience managing remote staff
- Strong skills in pushing back on pricing and managing supplier relationships
- Data fluent (spreadsheets, KPI dashboards)
- technical enough to brief developers and adopt new software quickly
- Excellent written and spoken English
- comfortable with direct, head-on communication and tough conversations
- Reliable high-speed internet
- a stable computer (candidate-owned)
- Mandatory team overlap from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM Cairo Time
- Occasional weekend coverage
- Video recording of at least 30 seconds long in English
- Latin American citizenship
